This special Dräger funnel, with its unique "hygienic-flow" design, prevents the backflow of the patient's own blown air and the inhalation of any bacteria from previous test subjects. The funnel can be easily exchanged and thus offers the certainty of a hygienic solution.
The funnel solution allows a large number of alcohol tests to be performed in the shortest possible time, without any physical contact with the test subject. The funnel test gives an initial indication of whether or not alcohol is present in the breath. There is no need to change mouthpieces, because the sample is simply blown into a funnel.
